Welcome to Govt. Polytechnic College for Girls, Patiala.
Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Patiala (GPCG Patiala) was established in 1991 by Govt. of Punjab, in order to provide diploma level technical education to girls of the region. The campus is situated on the Patiala-Rajpura road just 3kms from the local Bus Stand/ Railway Station. The institution has beautiful administrative block, hostel, staff colony and well maintained lawns and the grounds spread over an area of 12 acres. The college is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. The diploma courses of the institution are affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chandigarh and the only Bachelor level program B. Pharmacy offered by the college is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala.

The college was established with the sole aim of fulfilling potential needs of the region in engineering and pharmaceutical sciences.

GPCG Patiala in collaboration with Department of Technical Education Punjab organised a mega JOB FAIR on the Children's Day eve i.e. 14 November, 2018 as part of state government's flagship scheme Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Yojana. Tech Mahindra, Swaraj Automotives, ICICI bank, Preet Tractors and many other organisations participated in the recruitment drive.

GPCG Patiala organised a FRESHERS' PARTY for 1st year students on 5 October. The event witnessed numerous dazzling performances by both seniors and juniors alike. Principal Dr. Sarabmohan Singh awarded the titles to the winners and inspired students to work hard.

In an earnest attempt to lend a green touch to the school environment and sensitize the students about their role in conserving it, GPCG Patiala celebrated Van Mahotsav in the first week of July in the college campus.The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests. Various types of plants were planted by college Principal and staff members.

Rural Entrepreneurship & Innovation Convention & Exhibition is being organized on 10-11 April 2018 at Govt. Mohindra College Patiala by PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with Punjab Government. Pass-out students are advised to attend this exhibition as it will equip them with entrepreneurship skills through hand holding by experts. It will also facilitate access to funding for startups.
